Baku was known from the ancient times with its oil, but at the end of the XIXth and at the beginning of the XXth cc. it grew and became one of rapidly developing cities in the world. That was the period of the first oil boom of Baku. Тhe tour includes visitation of the following landmarks:
1. Bibi-Heybat oil field, where the first well in the world was drilled (1847).
2. Architecture of the first oil boom in Baku (end of XIX- beginning of XX cc.). Walk in the downtown of the city with observation of rental apartments built by «oil barons», visit of Haji Zeynal-Abdin Taghiyev's (one of the most respected oil magnates of that time) home-museum.
3. The Noble brothers' background related to Baku. Visit of Villa Petrolia, their residence. Excursion and tea-break (with national sweets) in the Nobles' dining-room.
